MHD chemically reacting and radiating nanofluid flow over a vertical cone embedded in a porous medium with variable properties

ABSTRACT:

In this study, we examine the combined effects of thermal radiation, chemical reaction on MHD hydromagnetic boundary layer flow over a vertical cone filled with nanofluid saturated porous medium under variable properties. The governing flow, heat and mass transfer equations are transformed into ordinary differential equations using similarity variables and are solved numerically by a Galerkin Finite element method. Numerical results are obtained for dimensionless velocity, temperature, nanoparticle volume fraction.The effects of various controlling parameters on these quantities are investigated. Pertinent results are presented graphically and discussed quantitatively. The present results are compared with existing results and found to be good agreement. It is found that the temperature of the fluid remarkably enhances with the rising values of Brownian motion parameter (Nb).

ABSTRACT:

In this paper we have studied the dynamical behaviours of an SIQR epidemiological model which takes into account the psychological effect introduced by a nonlinear and non-monotone incidence. Positivity and boundedness of the system have been studied. Stability analysis of the equilibrium points is presented. We have carried out numerical simulations to validate the analytical findings. The biological implications of our analytical and numerical findings are discussed.

ABSTRACT:

The effects of MHD free convection on heat flow within a square cavity. Free convection flow in the presence of magnetic field in a square cavity with semi circular heat source is studied in this paper. The lower wall of cavity is heated from below and the upper wall of cavity is cold; on the other hand, the side walls of the cavity are thermally insulated.
In the current study, Finite Element Method has been used to convert the non-linear coupled partial differential equations for flow and temperature field into a matrix form of equations, which can be solved iteratively with the help of a computer code. The Galerkin Finite Element Method of three nodded triangular elements is used to divide the physical domain into smaller segments, which is a pre-requisite for finite element method. Numerical results are presented in terms of stream functions, isotherms, temperature profiles and Nusselt numbe.

ABSTRACT:

In this paper we make an attempt to study the effect of thermal radiation, dissipation and chemical reaction on unsteady hydro-magnetic free convective heat and mass transfer flow of a Walter’s memory fluid past a vertical plate. The non-linear equations governing the flow, heat and mass transfer are solved by using a perturbation technique. The velocity, temperature, concentration, the rate of heat and mass transfer are analyzed for different values of the governing parameters.

ABSTRACT:

In this paper we utilize Bayesian approach to obtain predictors of the future observation from Rayleigh distribution when observations are censored to left as well as to the right. Bayesian predictor is obtained using natural conjugate prior under asymmetric loss function. Bayesian predictor is also obtained under the squared error loss function. For each loss predictive risks are calculated. Lastly, predictors are compared for the smallest future ordered observation on the basis of 1000 randomly generated sample using Monte Carlo simulation technique.
